e-News from Washington (September 10, 2010)

This week, President Obama announced a new economic aid plan that includes $50 billion in infrastructure spending, permanent extension of a simplified and expanded R&D tax credit, and 100% expensing through 2011. The President also reiterated his call for letting the Bush tax cuts expire for the wealthiest Americans (and many small businesses) even as some Democrats are calling for extending ALL of the tax cuts. Also this week, the Administration launched its Challenge.gov website calling on entrepreneurs, innovators, and citizen solvers to compete for prestige and prizes by providing novel solutions to tough national problems.
